Does it normal for a man to get an inflammation after having a good first-time sex with wife w/o using condom?

Not long after I had my first sex without using protection with my wife, I got an inflammation on my penis. The symptoms were that it was reddish, slightly itchy with few bumps in certain area and there was green stuff came out from the head of the penis for a few days until I took antibiotics. About a year later, I suffer the same problem with the green mucus coming out from the head of the penis and a little itchy at times. Then I took another antibiotics and it's gone. The doctor said that it's normal for a man to experience that once in a while. But I was 32 when I was married and never had that kind of problem before I had that intercourse with my wife. She was pretty active with her sex activities with her exes before.

Can anybody share or diagnose what went wrong here?
Any Recommendation or remedy?

You should probably get tested for any STD's if your doctor didn't already. If that's not it, maybe you have an infection of some other sort. Look at what type of birth control you are using (spermacidal foam) or is you were using any type of lube, you could be allergic.
