Is only wanting sex from relationships connected to maturity?
My friend said today that only wanting sex from relationships has nothing to do with maturity and is just 'a personal choice.' Your thoughts on this?
(I think he's pretty immature myself, but if you agree with him please tell me why, I'd hate to think I'm being misguided.)

I agree with your friend. Is a personal choice. He knows that he is not interested in an emotional relationship...but he still has sexual needs.
There is nothing immature about him finding someone to do the nasty with as long as he is not leading them on. If he is honest with them, and they are willing, then why the hell not!
Emotional relationships require commitment, maturity, responsibility, things that he probably knows that he does not want to deal with at this point in his life for whatever reason. He knows himself better than you do...he probably knows that he will cheat!
It is far better to be honest about who you are and what you want instead of faking a relationship that you really do not want to be in (like so many people do.)
Eventually he will want to be in a real relationship, but for now he just wants to have a good time without dealing with the pressures of a real relationship. It is his personal choice.
